The Monitor, February 2008Outsourcing and Partnerships: Finding the Right Fit
Like putting a puzzle together, finding the right fit is the key to establishing relationships that create effective and efficient long-term partnerships. The success of any long-term relationship is dependent upon the ability to meld the cultures of two parties—sponsor and provider—to create a cohesive team, each committed to the other’s success. This requires strong communication practices, creativity, accountability, and measurement of progress (metrics), which define how the relationship is benefiting both parties.

    Clinical Research Concerns
The concerns and issues for the clinical research team include patient recruitment and electronic data capture (EDC), along with technology, education, and SOPs, and all have a global impact. Even more, we find the eyes of our recruitment base, the general public, are always upon us, requiring us to remember to build continually on that public’s awareness of what we do in clinical research. The articles in this issue take a look at these concerns from the perspectives of respected representatives of the clinical research team.
